ASU Design Show
Poster Concept
Adobe Design Suite | Good ol' Pen and Paper
Goal: Develop a poster for the ASU 2023 Senior Poster Showcase.
Produce a bold, attention-grabbing piece that also acted as a simple wayfinding tool across campus.
The concept draws heavily from the visual language of wayfinding systems, which have historically used directional cues to guide people intuitively through unfamiliar environments. I wanted to tap into that same instinctual behavior for this flash event.
For an OOH poster promoting a pop-up event, the goal wasn’t just to inform but to redirect. By using bold, sequential arrows, the design functions like a micro-wayfinding system: it captures wandering students and guides them—subconsciously—toward the ASU VCD show. The arrows emulate the flow of foot traffic and play on the idea that people naturally follow clear, confident directional cues.
This approach transforms the poster from a static announcement into an interactive visual signal, sweeping passersby off the main walkways and pulling them into the event experience.
